TLCI Ministry Beliefs
We believe in God. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things; Omnipotent (unlimited in all power and authority); Omnipresent (existing in all places and the same time); Omniscient (infinite awareness, understanding and insight).
Supporting Scriptures: Exodus 3:13-15; Proverbs 15:3; Revelations 1:8
We believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He was born, died on the cross, and was raised on the third day fulfilling the Scriptures. He has ascended into Heaven where He seats at the right hand of God and is our High Priest and Advocate. He forever lives to make intercession for the believer, His love is extended to all humankind that the sinner might come to repentance and accept Him as Lord and Savior. There is no other name by which man can be saved than that of Jesus Christ; this is why we are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus for it is the power of God unto salvation.
Supporting Scriptures: Matthew 1:21; Hebrews 7:24-26; Romans 1:16; Romans 10:9-13
We believe in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the creative, moving power of the Father. The Holy Spirit is to minister and bear witness of the Truth during this age. Regenerating the believer into the image of Jesus the Christ and dwelling within the baptized born-again believer. It is His ministry to teach us all things, leading us into all Truth and enduing the believer with spiritual power that we might be a witness of Jesus Christ in the earth. Upon salvation, the Holy Spirit seals the believer until the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit indwells the born again believer (this is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit) to assist in the cultivation of prayer, edifying and equipping the saints to carry out the good, acceptable and perfect Will of God.
Supporting Scriptures: Genesis 1:1-2; John 14:25-27; Acts 1:2-8; Romans 8:26-27
We believe in the Bible. The Scriptures, the written Word of God, both Old and New Testaments-inspired by God. We believe the Word of God is His expressed Will and is the legal constitution of the Kingdom of God which governs Kingdom citizens. It is the Incorruptible Seed given to man for spiritual growth, the transformation of the mind and the guidance through the vicissitudes of life.
Supporting Scriptures: I Peter 2:2; Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 6:10-18
We believe in tithing and offerings. Tithes and offerings is the system God established to support the work of the Kingdom of God in the earth. We are stewards over the natural, physical, human, intelligence, monetary, spiritual, tangible and intangible resources God have entrusted in our care. It is through the proper distribution of His resources in the earth that people experience His love and are benefactors of His provision. The local assembly is charged to care for the least of these, orphans and widows within its respective communities.
